Instructions

Prepare the Suji Pasta

  • Cook 2.5 cups of water in a saucepan. Add the semolina and 1 tbsp of oil to prevent sticking. Stir occasionally and cook for 3-5 minutes, or until the semolina is cooked through but still slightly firm. Drain well and set aside.

Sauté the Vegetables

  • Heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the cumin seeds (if using) and let them sizzle for a few seconds. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  • Add the chopped onion, tomato, and bell pepper. Sauté for 2-3 minutes, until the vegetables are slightly softened.

Combine and Finish

  • Add the cooked semolina to the pan with the vegetables. Stir in the red chili flakes, black pepper, and salt. Mix well to combine.
  • Sauté for another 3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through. Drizzle with olive oil (optional) and sauté for 1 more minute.

Serve

  • Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious Suji Pasta!
