Ingredients
Dry Ingredients
- 1.5 cup All-Purpose Flour also known as maida
- 1.25 tsp Baking Powder
- 0.5 tsp Baking Soda
Wet Ingredients
- 1 cup Yogurt
- 0.5 cup Vegetable Oil
- 0.75 cup Sugar powdered
Paan Ingredients
- 1 piece Meetha Paan alternatively, use 1 betel leaf and 1 tablespoon rose petal jam (gulukand)
- 0.25 tsp Food Coloring optional, for enhancing the paan color, green

- 1 Baking Pan 8x8 inch square pan or similar, greased and floured
Instructions
Prepare the Paan
- Cut the Meetha Paan into two pieces. Finely grind one half and coarsely chop the other.
Combine Dry and Wet Ingredients
- In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and baking soda. In a separate bowl, whisk together the yogurt, vegetable oil, and powdered sugar until the sugar is fully dissolved.
Make the Cake Batter
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing gently until a smooth batter forms. Avoid overmixing.
Incorporate Paan and Food Coloring
- Add the ground and chopped paan mixture to the batter. Stir in the green food coloring (if using) until evenly distributed.
