Recipe Notes

For kids can skip using soda to it!!

Additional Tips

  • For an extra layer of spice, infuse the black tea with a small piece of star anise or a cinnamon stick while brewing; remove before cooling for a subtle, aromatic kick.
  • Freeze freshly squeezed orange juice in an ice cube tray and add these cubes alongside the black tea ice for intensified citrus flavor as the drink chills.
  • If serving for a crowd, garnish each glass with a thin wheel of orange and a sprig of mint for an eye-catching presentation and a burst of fresh aroma.
  • For a lower-sugar, more complex twist, substitute half the sugar with honey or agave syrup, dissolving it into the hot tea before chilling to fully incorporate the flavors.
