- 1/2 tsp Chili Powder red
- 3/4 tsp Mango Powder dried mango powder
- 1 tsp Salt to taste
Wet Ingredients
- 1 cup Water for soaking oats and adjusting batter consistency
Vegetables & Herbs
Oil
- 2 tsp Mustard Oil or any cooking oil
Instructions
Prepare the Oats
- Soak 1 cup of rolled oats in 1 cup of water for 10-15 minutes to soften.
Make the Batter
- In a mixing bowl, combine the soaked oats, gram flour, red chili powder, amchur powder, salt, chopped coriander, green chilies, and onion. Mix well to form a batter.
Adjust Consistency
- The batter should be thick, but pourable, similar to a typical pakora batter. Add a little more water if needed to achieve the desired consistency.
Bake the Pakoras
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet or use parchment paper.
- Drop spoonfuls of the batter onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each pakora.
- Drizzle a small amount of mustard oil (or your preferred cooking oil) over the pakoras.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through.
Serve
- Serve the baked oats pakoras hot with your favorite chutney or tomato ketchup.
