Ingredients
For the Dough
- 1 cup Cottage Cheese cottage cheese, crumbled
- 1 cup Whole Wheat Flour whole
- 1/2 tsp Baking Powder for extra fluffiness
- 75 grams Butter softened, salted
- 1.5 tsp Salt or to taste
- 2-3 tbsp Milk as needed for dough consistency
For the Flavor
- 1 tbsp Chili Flakes
- 1 tbsp Oregano Flakes
- 1 tsp Paneer Tikka Masala or any indian spice blend of your choice
For Serving
- 1/2 bowl Flavored Cheese Dip optional
Instructions
Prepare the Dough
- Grease a baking tray with butter. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a bowl, combine crumbled paneer and softened butter until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together whole wheat flour and baking powder.
- Add the dry ingredients to the paneer mixture. Mix well and knead into a firm dough, adding milk as needed.
Shape and Bake the Pooris
- Roll out the dough into a large circle. Use a cookie cutter or knife to cut out individual pooris.
- Prick each poori several times with a fork to prevent puffing during baking.
- Place the pooris on the prepared baking tray.
- Bake for 15-16 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Let the pooris cool to room temperature.
Serve
- Serve warm with your favorite flavored cheese dip. Also delicious with tea or coffee.
