Ingredients
For the Potatoes
- 2 Potato yukon gold or russet recommended, medium size
- 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil
Garnish
- 1.5 tbsp Sesame Seeds
Instructions
Prepare the Potatoes
- Chop the potatoes into 1-inch by 1-cm thick pieces.
Cook the Potatoes
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add the chopped potatoes and sauté for 2-3 minutes, or until lightly golden.
Make the Teriyaki Glaze
- Add the brown sugar and soy sauce to the pan with the potatoes.
- Stir to combine and coat the potatoes evenly.
Simmer and Finish
- Pour in 1 tablespoon of water.
- Cover the pan and reduce the heat to low. Simmer for 10-12 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the sauce has thickened. If the sauce becomes too thick before the potatoes are cooked, add a little more water, one tablespoon at a time.
- Stir in 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds. Cover and cook for 1 minute. Remove from heat.
Garnish and Serve
- Garnish with the remaining ½ tablespoon of sesame seeds.
