Instructions

Prepare the Potatoes

  • Chop the potatoes into 1-inch by 1-cm thick pieces.

Cook the Potatoes

  • Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  • Add the chopped potatoes and sauté for 2-3 minutes, or until lightly golden.

Make the Teriyaki Glaze

  • Add the brown sugar and soy sauce to the pan with the potatoes.
  • Stir to combine and coat the potatoes evenly.

Simmer and Finish

  • Pour in 1 tablespoon of water.
  • Cover the pan and reduce the heat to low. Simmer for 10-12 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the sauce has thickened. If the sauce becomes too thick before the potatoes are cooked, add a little more water, one tablespoon at a time.
  • Stir in 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds. Cover and cook for 1 minute. Remove from heat.

Garnish and Serve

  • Garnish with the remaining ½ tablespoon of sesame seeds.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!
