Recipe Notes
Expert Tips for the Best Strawberry Compote
- Use ripe but firm strawberries: Overripe strawberries will result in a runny compote.
- Adjust sweetness to taste: Start with the lower end of the sugar range and add more as needed, depending on the sweetness of your strawberries and your preference.
- Don't overcook: Overcooking can result in a mushy compote. Keep a close eye on it and stir frequently.
- Get creative with variations: Add a pinch of cinnamon, a splash of orange juice, or some chopped fresh mint for unique flavor combinations.
