Ingredients
Crust
- 1 Pre-Made Pie Crust 9-inch diameter; i recommend marie callender's from the grocery store freezer section.
Filling
- 0.25 cup Onion diced, optional; sautéed before adding to filling
- 1 cup Ham diced, pre-diced ham from the meat section works well
- 1 cup Cheddar Cheese freshly shredded; you can use your favorite cheese or a blend., shredded
- 6 Large Eggs
- 1 cup Heavy Cream or whole milk; use slightly less if using a cake pan crust
- Salt And Pepper to taste
Instructions
Prepare the Filling
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a small skillet and sauté the diced onion (if using) for about 2 minutes until softened. Add the diced ham and cook for another 3 minutes, until heated through.
Assemble the Quiche
- Pour the sautéed ham and onion mixture into the pre-made pie shell. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the ham and onion.
Bake the Quiche
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, and pepper until well combined. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the cheese filling in the pie shell.
- Bake for 35-45 minutes, or until the quiche is set and the center is no longer jiggly. A knife inserted near the center should come out clean.
