  • 1 pound Strawberry fresh, large strawberries are ideal. remove green caps.
  • 8 ounces oz Chocolate semisweet chocolate; high-quality chocolate yields the best results.
  • Toppings as needed, chopped nuts, etc., sea salt, sprinkles, white chocolate drizzle
  • Several Paper Towel for drying strawberries thoroughly
  • 1 sheet Wax Paper for setting the chocolate-covered strawberries

Instructions
 

Prepare the Strawberries

  • Wash and thoroughly dry the strawberries with paper towels. Completely dry strawberries prevent the chocolate from seizing.

Melt the Chocolate

  • Melt the chocolate in a double boiler over low heat, stirring frequently until smooth. Alternatively, microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Avoid overheating the chocolate.

Dip the Strawberries

  • Dip each strawberry halfway into the melted chocolate, gently holding the green cap. Allow excess chocolate to drip off.

Decorate and Chill

  • Place the dipped strawberries on wax paper. Immediately add your desired toppings while the chocolate is still wet. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to set.
