- 1 cup Whole Wheat Flour whole, or atta atta
- 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour maida, or maida maida
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- Milk as required
- 1 tsp Salt or as per taste
- 1/4 cup Cashews

Instructions
Prepare the Filling
- Grind the cashews, sugar, and cardamom until finely powdered. Mix this powder with the desiccated coconut. Set aside.
Make the Dough
- In a large bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, and salt. Gradually add water, mixing until a soft, pliable dough forms. Knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth. Let the dough rest, covered, for 15-20 minutes.
Assemble the Parathas
- Take a small portion of the dough and roll it into a ball. Flatten the ball slightly. Place 1 tablespoon of the apple filling in the center. Gently bring the edges of the dough together to completely enclose the filling, sealing tightly.
Roll and Cook the Parathas
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the stuffed dough ball into a thin, circular paratha. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or tawa over medium heat. Cook the paratha for 1-2 minutes per side, or until golden brown and slightly puffed, pressing gently with a spatula to cook evenly. Brush with melted ghee or butter during cooking.
Serve
- Serve the hot parathas with grated cheese and garlic chutney or pickle, if desired.
Recipe Notes
Expert Tips for Perfect Dry Fruit & Apple Stuffed Parathas
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg or cloves to the apple filling.
- If the dough feels too dry, add a teaspoon of milk at a time until it reaches the desired consistency.
- Don't overfill the parathas; this can make them difficult to seal and cook evenly.
- For a crispier paratha, cook it over medium-high heat.

Loved the description of your recipe. I can totally relate to your situation. Kids are sometimes so fussy that they refuse to eat. Even I struggle with my daughter at times. I like the idea of adding a fruit in paratha, as I have never done that but can we avoid maida?
