Ingredients
For the Kababs
- 1 cup Water Chestnut Flour also known as singhade ka atta
- 1 medium Potato boiled and grated
- 1 tsp Chili Powder red
- 2 tsp Chili finely chopped, green
- 1/4 cup Coriander chopped
- 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
- 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds roasted
- 1/4 cup Peanuts crushed, roasted
- 1/4 cup Fox Nuts makhana, roasted and finely powdered
- Salt to taste
For Frying
- 3 tbsp Ghee for shallow frying, or oil
Instructions
Prepare the Water Chestnut Mixture
- Grate the boiled potato. In a large bowl, combine the grated potato, water chestnut flour, red chili powder, green chilies, coriander, garam masala, salt, and lemon juice. Mix well to form a thick batter.
Add the Roasted Ingredients
- Stir in the roasted cumin seeds, crushed peanuts, and fox nut powder. Mix everything thoroughly until well combined.
Shape and Fry the Kababs
- Form small, round patties or kababs from the mixture. Heat ghee or oil in a shallow pan over medium heat.
Cook the Kababs
- Carefully place the kababs in the hot pan and shallow fry them until they turn golden brown and crispy on both sides. This should take about 2-3 minutes per side.
