- 150 gm Cottage Cheese paneer
- 2 tsp Tomato Sauce
- 1.5 tsp Salt or as per taste
- 3 Garlic chopped
- 1/4 tsp Pizza Seasoning pizza mix
- 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
- 1/4 tsp Cooking Soda
- 1.5 tsp Salt or as per taste
- 1/2 cup Buttermilk
Instructions
Prepare the Paneer Filling
- Combine crumbled paneer, tomato sauce, salt, minced garlic, pizza seasoning, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using) in a bowl. Mix well.
Make the Dough
- In a separate bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add buttermilk and oil, mixing until a soft dough forms. Add water, a tablespoon at a time, if needed to achieve desired consistency. Knead for 2-3 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rest for 10 minutes.
Assemble and Fry the Pizza Pockets
- Roll out the dough thinly. Cut into rectangular shapes. Place a spoonful of paneer filling onto each rectangle. Fold over to create a pocket, pressing edges to seal.
Coat and Fry
- Make a slurry by mixing flour and water until smooth. Dip each pizza pocket into the slurry, then coat with breadcrumbs. Deep fry in hot vegetable oil until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
Serve
- Serve hot and enjoy!
