Ingredients
For the Potatoes
- 4 Potatoes and cut into long, peeled, thick strips; soak in ice water for 15 minutes, washed
- 1/2 cup Corn Flour
- 1/2 tsp Salt or to taste
- 1/4 tsp Pepper black, freshly ground, or to taste
- 1 tbsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
- 1 tbsp Chilli Sauce red
For the Sauce
- 1 Bell Peppers 1 large, capsicum, thinly sliced into strips
- 1/2 medium Onion thinly sliced into half-rings
- 3 tbsp Tomato Ketchup
- 3 tbsp Chilli Sauce red
- 1 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 tbsp Vinegar white
- 2 tbsp Honey
- 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil for frying
- 1 tbsp Sesame Seeds toasted
- 2 tbsp Coriander chopped
Instructions
Prepare the Potatoes
- Pat the potato strips dry with a kitchen towel. In a bowl, combine ginger-garlic paste, red chilli sauce, salt, and pepper. Add the potatoes and toss to coat evenly. Add the cornflour and toss again until the potatoes are well coated.
Fry the Potatoes
- Heat oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Carefully add the potato strips and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes, ensuring they are cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Make the Sauce
- In a clean bowl, whisk together tomato ketchup, red chilli sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, and honey. Set aside.
Cook the Sauce
- Heat oil in the same pan or wok. Add the sliced onion and bell pepper and stir-fry until softened but still slightly crisp. Add the sauce mixture and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
Combine and Serve
- Add the fried potatoes to the sauce and toss gently to coat. Stir in the fresh coriander and sesame seeds. Cook for another minute to allow the flavors to meld. Serve hot.

- Adjust the amount of red chilli sauce and honey to your liking for desired level of spiciness and sweetness.
- For extra flavour, add a pinch of garlic powder and/or onion powder to the potato coating.
