- 1 cup Gram Flour also known as besan
- 2 tbsp Rice Flour
- 2 Chili Pepper finely chopped, green
- 1/4 cup Coriander also known as dhania, finely chopped
- 1 tsp Chili Powder
- 1 tsp Carom Seeds also known as ajwain
- 1/2 tsp Salt or to taste
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder for color and flavor
For Frying:
- 2 cup Oil vegetable or canola oil for deep frying
For Serving:
- Chaat Masala optional, to sprinkle

Instructions
Prepare the Bread
- Cut the brown bread slices into desired shapes, such as fingers or triangles.
Make the Batter
- In a bowl, combine chickpea flour, rice flour, green chilies, coriander, chili powder, carom seeds, salt, and turmeric powder. Add enough water to make a smooth, pourable batter. The consistency should be similar to pancake batter.
Fry the Bread Fingers
- Heat the oil in a deep pan or kadai over medium-high heat. Dip each bread piece into the batter, ensuring it's fully coated. Carefully place the coated bread into the hot oil, frying in batches to avoid overcrowding the pan.
Drain and Serve
- Fry until golden brown and crispy, turning occasionally. Remove the fried bread fingers and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- Sprinkle with chaat masala (optional). Serve hot with your favorite chutney or dipping sauce.
