  • Peel and grate the beetroot. Squeeze out excess water thoroughly. Finely chop the onion and squeeze out excess water.

Combine Ingredients

  • In a large bowl, combine the grated beetroot, chopped onion, minced lemongrass, ginger, garlic, salt, red chili powder, garam masala, and green chilies. Mix well.

Form and Fry the Tikkis

  • Add the breadcrumbs to the beetroot mixture and mix until just combined. Form small, flat patties (tikkis). Heat oil in a shallow pan over medium heat. Carefully place the tikkis in the pan and fry until golden brown and crispy on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
