Ingredients
Dairy Base
- 14 oz Sweetened Milk condensed
- 14 oz Milk evaporated
- 14 oz Heavy Whipping Cream
Paan Flavor
- 2 Betel Leaves available in asian stores, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp Paan Masala Mix
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and heavy whipping cream.
- Whisk the ingredients together until they are completely combined and the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Add the finely chopped betel leaves and Paan masala mix to the creamy mixture.
- Gently fold in the Paan ingredients until they are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
- Pour the mixture into a square baking dish that has been lightly sprayed with cooking spray. This will prevent sticking and make it easier to serve later.
- Cover the dish tightly with plastic wrap, ensuring the wrap touches the surface of the Kulfi to prevent ice crystals from forming.
- Freeze the Kulfi for at least 3 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow it to solidify completely.
- About 20 minutes before serving, remove the Kulfi from the freezer. This allows it to soften slightly for a creamier texture.
- If desired, drizzle with chocolate sauce or your favorite topping before serving.
Recipe Notes
Good To Know
- Kulfi takes a bit more time to melt than conventional western ice cream.
Expert Tips
- For a richer flavor, try using full-fat milk and cream.
- Garnish your kulfi with chopped nuts, rose petals, or a drizzle of honey for an extra touch of elegance.
- If you don't have traditional kulfi molds, you can use small ramekins or even ice cube trays.
Storage Instructions
- Store leftover kulfi in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
