Recipe Notes

Expert Tips for the Best Onion Raita

  • Use good quality yogurt: Full-fat Greek yogurt or homemade dahi will yield the creamiest, most flavorful raita.
  • Roast your cumin seeds: Toasting cumin seeds before grinding enhances their flavor significantly.
  • Adjust spice levels: Modify the amount of green chilies and red chili powder to suit your spice preference.
  • Make it ahead: This raita tastes even better after chilling for a few hours, allowing the flavors to blend perfectly.
