Ingredients
Wet Ingredients
- 1 cup gm Butter softened, unsalted
- 1 cup gm Sugar granulated
- 1 cup gm Sugar brown, packed
- 1/2 cup gm Peanut Butter creamy
- 1 Egg large
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
Dry Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups gm All-Purpose Flour
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1/2 tsp Salt
Mix-ins
- 1 cup Chocolate Chips dark or milk chocolate
Instructions
Cream Together the Wet Ingredients
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the peanut butter, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Combine Dry Ingredients
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Add Chocolate Chips
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
Chill the Dough
- Cover the dough and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. This helps prevent the cookies from spreading too much.
Preheat Oven & Prepare Baking Sheet
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Scoop and Bake
- Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving some space between each cookie. Use a fork to create a criss-cross pattern on top of each cookie (optional).
Bake
- Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are still slightly soft. Baking time may vary depending on your oven.
Cool and Enjoy
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Recipe Notes
Expert Tips for Perfect Cookies
