Ingredients
Dough
- 8 slices Bread or pre-made pizza dough
Filling
- 1 Tbsp Yogurt or curd
- 1.5 tsp Pizza Seasoning
- 0.5 tsp Salt or to taste
- 0.5 cup Bell Peppers capsicum, chopped, finely
- 0.5 cup Onion chopped, finely
- 2 Tbsp Tomato Ketchup
- 0.5 cup Cheese any type, grated
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine all the dough ingredients. Mix well to form a soft dough. If using pre-made pizza dough, skip this step.
- In a separate bowl, combine the yogurt, pizza seasoning, salt, chopped bell pepper, chopped onion, tomato ketchup, and grated cheese. Mix thoroughly.
- Take a small portion of the dough and flatten it slightly. Place a spoonful of the filling in the center.
- Seal the dough around the filling, forming a small ball or roll. Ensure the filling is completely enclosed to prevent leakage during cooking.
- Heat an appe pan (or a non-stick skillet) over medium heat. Lightly grease each section of the appe pan with oil or cooking spray. This prevents sticking and ensures even browning.
- Place the pizza bombs in the appe pan. Cook for several minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through. Alternatively, you can pan-fry them in a skillet.
Recipe Notes
Good To Know
- For extra gooeyness, tuck a small cube of mozzarella or processed cheese inside each roll before sealing.
- If you prefer a crispier texture, brush the tops of the rolls lightly with olive oil and bake at a high temperature (220°C/425°F) for the final 3-4 minutes.
- Customize the filling with finely chopped olives, sweet corn, or cooked sausage.
Expert Tips
- Don't overfill the rolls, as this can prevent them from sealing properly and may cause leakage during baking.
- For a softer crust, cover the rolls loosely with foil during the initial baking time.
- Serve these rolls warm with a dipping sauce of your choice, such as marinara sauce, pesto, or a creamy garlic dip.
Storage Instructions
- Once cooled, these rolls freeze well.
- Reheat them in an oven or air fryer to restore their original texture.
