Ingredients
- 2 cups Okra Washed, dried, and chopped
- 1/2 cup Tomato Finely chopped
- 1 tsp Oil
- 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder Adjust to taste
- 3/4 tsp Salt Or as required

Preparation
- Wash the okra thoroughly and wipe completely dry. Chop into medium pieces and keep aside.
Cooking the Bhindi
- Heat oil in a wide pan and add cumin seeds. Let them crackle gently.
- Add chopped okra and cook uncovered on medium heat for 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the bhindi looks soft and cooked with no raw or sticky texture.
- Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and salt. Mix gently.
- Cover and cook on low heat until the tomatoes soften and coat the bhindi lightly.
Final Steps
- Cook uncovered for a few minutes to remove excess moisture. Serve warm.
