Ingredients
For the Ladoo
- 1/2 cup Clarified Butter clarified butter; can substitute with unsalted butter
- 1 cup Gram Flour also known as besan; use finely ground flour for best results
- 1/2 cup Sugar adjust to your desired sweetness, powdered
- 1/2 cup Almonds finely ground; reserve some whole almonds for garnish
- 1/4 tsp Cardamom Powder also known as elaichi powder; freshly ground is best
Instructions
Prepare the Besan
- Heat the desi ghee in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Add the cardamom powder and stir briefly.
- Add the chickpea flour and stir continuously, ensuring no lumps form. Roast for 8-10 minutes, or until fragrant and light golden brown in color. Remove from heat and let cool completely.

- Once cooled, add the finely ground almonds and powdered sugar to the roasted besan mixture. Mix well until everything is thoroughly combined and a slightly sticky dough forms.
