This is a excellent drink to prevent heatstroke in summer. Tamarind has such a nice medicinal property to treat heatstroke, Headache due to hot weather and bleeding from nose. This Drink is described in our ancient ayurvedic granth also.
Yield / Serves
Tamarind - 25gm
Castor Sugar - 1 tablespoon
Black Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
Cardamom powder 1/8 teaspoon
Water - 400ml
Mint leaves for Garnish
Soak tamarind in 100ml lukewarm water for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, mix well tamarind with water by fingers.
Strain tamarind pulp and water mix through the sieve.
Take a strained liquid in a mixing bowl and add Castor sugar, cardamom powder and black salt. Stir well.
Take 4 tablespoon tamarind mix in (salted rim Garnished) serving glass.Add chilled water in it. Mix it and garnish with fresh mint leaves. One can add ice cube in it also.
