Ingredients

- 2 cup Whole Wheat Flour whole
- 3/4 cup Almonds you can also use almond flour for a different texture., slivered
- 3/4 cup Sugar powdered
- 1/2 tsp Salt
Wet Ingredients
Optional Decoration
- 1/4 cup Almonds for topping the cookies, halved
Instructions
Prepare the Dough
- Beat softened butter, powdered sugar, and salt in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
- Add the whole wheat flour and slivered almonds. Mix until just combined.
- If the dough is too dry, add 1-2 tablespoons of milk, one tablespoon at a time, until the dough comes together.
Shape and Bake the Cookies
- Roll the dough into small, lemon-sized balls.
- Flatten each ball slightly with your palms.
- Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Press a halved almond onto the top of each cookie for decoration.
