Recipe Notes
Additional Tips
- For sharper, more defined layers, lightly toast the bread slices before assembling—this helps prevent sogginess, especially if preparing in advance for lunchboxes or picnics.
- If you prefer a tangier flavor, add a thin layer of sweet lime or orange marmalade to the orange layer to complement the salty paneer and zesty chutney.
- To create a vegan version, substitute paneer with firm tofu and use vegan mayonnaise—press the tofu to remove excess moisture and season well for best results.
- Cut sandwiches with a sharp, serrated knife and wipe the blade between cuts for neat, visually striking presentation, especially if serving at parties or gatherings.
