- 200 gm Bottle Gourd lauki
Spices and Flavorings
- 1/4 tsp Salt or to taste
- 1/4 tsp Chaat Masala
- 1/4 tsp Pepper black
- 1/2 tsp Lemon Juice

Instructions

- Cut the aloe vera into small pieces.
- Peel and chop the bottle gourd into similar-sized pieces.
- Combine the aloe vera and bottle gourd pieces in a blender. Blend until smooth.
- Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve to remove any fibrous pulp, resulting in a smoother juice.
- Pour the strained juice into a saucepan. Add salt, chaat masala, black pepper, and lemon juice.
- Gently heat the juice over medium heat for a few minutes, until warmed through. Do not boil.
- Pour the warm juice into glasses. Garnish with fresh cilantro.
Recipe Notes
Good To Know
- For a smoother and less bitter juice, use only the clear inner gel of the aloe vera leaf, carefully removing all traces of the green outer skin, which can impart a strong, unpleasant taste.
- If you prefer a chilled beverage, blend the ingredients with a few ice cubes or refrigerate the juice for at least 30 minutes before serving—this also helps mellow the flavors.
- For added digestive benefits and a flavor twist, include a small piece of fresh ginger or a few mint leaves while blending; both complement the tangy and spicy notes of the juice.
Expert Tips
- Always source fresh, organic aloe vera leaves whenever possible for the best flavor and nutritional value.
- Adjust the amount of sweetener to your liking, depending on the sweetness of the other ingredients and your personal preference.
- If using a high-powered blender, start on a low speed and gradually increase to avoid splattering.
Storage Instructions
- The juice is best consumed immediately, but you can store it in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours in an airtight glass container. Shake well before serving as natural separation may occur.
