  • Dry roast whole wheat flour along with soyabean flour on medium flame for 4-5 min. Transfer the flour in another bowl and cool it down.
  • For tempering, heat 1 tbsp of mustard oil and saute mustard seeds, cumin seeds along with both dals. Add curry leaves.
  • In flours, add curd along with prepared tempering ,water and salt to prepare idli batter. The consistency of the batter should have medium consistency neither too thick nor too soft.
  • Add the batter in greased idli moulds and steam the idlis for 5-7 min in steamer. Cool down the idli and serve immediately with coconut chutney or green chutney.
