Ingredients
Filling
- ½ cup Beetroot grated
- ½ cup Cabbage grated
- 1 tsp Garlic chopped
- 1 Tbsp Chilies chopped, green
- ½ tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1 tsp Garam Masala
- Salt to taste
Chapati
- 2 Chapati
Other
- 1 Tbsp Mustard Oil
Instructions
- Heat the mustard oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds to release their aroma. This technique, called blooming, enhances the spices' flavor.
- Add the chopped garlic and green chilies to the pan. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn them.
- Add the grated cabbage and beetroot to the pan along with salt. Sauté for 5-7 minutes, or until the vegetables are slightly softened but still retain some texture.
- Sprinkle in the garam masala, chopped green onions, and fresh cilantro. Stir well to combine and cook for another minute to allow the flavors to meld.
- Prepare fresh chapati according to your preferred recipe or use store-bought ones. Warm the chapati slightly before filling.
- Place a spoonful of the flavorful vegetable filling onto the center of each chapati. Fold the chapati in half or roll it up tightly to enclose the filling.
- Serve the stuffed chapati warm with your favorite chutney or sauce for a complete and satisfying meal.
