Recipe Notes
Additional Tips
- For a more vibrant flavor, dry roast the cumin powder in a pan for a minute until aromatic before adding it to the sherbat; this deepens the earthy notes and enhances aroma.
- If you prefer a smoother texture, strain the prepared sherbat through a fine mesh or muslin cloth to remove any coarse sattu particles before serving.
- To add a refreshing twist, muddle a few fresh mint leaves and stir them into the sherbat just before serving; this not only cools but also complements the tangy and spicy flavors.
- Sattu ke Namkeen Sherbat can be prepared ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours; just stir well before serving as some settling may occur.
