- 1/2 tsp Garam Masala

- Slice mushrooms in half. Finely chop 1 medium tomato and 2 large onions. Thinly slice the remaining 4 small onions into half-moons, separating the layers.
- Puree the remaining 2 tomatoes, ginger, green chili, and garlic.

- Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan or wok over medium heat. Shallow fry the thinly sliced onion layers until light golden brown. Remove and set aside.
