Ingredients
For the Falsa Pulp
- 250 gm Falsa Berries also known as falsi. ensure they are ripe and fresh.
- 1 cup Water for mashing the falsa
For the Sharbat
- 2 tbsp Sugar adjust to taste
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds roasted and ground
- 2 tsp Salt black
- 2 cup Water for the sharbat
For Garnishing
- 2-3 Mint Leaves chopped, fresh
- 1 Lemon Wedge for garnish
- Ice Cubes as needed
Instructions
Prepare the Falsa Pulp
- Wash the Falsa berries thoroughly and gently mash them with a spoon or spatula to extract the pulp, separating it from the seeds. You can use a mortar and pestle for a smoother pulp.
Blend the Sharbat
- Combine the Falsa pulp, sugar, roasted and ground cumin powder, black salt, and 2 cups of water in a blender. Blend until smooth. If you prefer a slightly thicker sharbat, reduce the water accordingly.
Strain and Serve
- Strain the blended mixture through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a large bowl or pitcher to remove any seeds or solids. Pour the sharbat into serving glasses filled with ice cubes.
