Instructions

Prepare the Cutlets

  • Combine mashed potatoes, crumbled paneer, salt, pepper, grated cheese, and coriander. Mix well and form small patties.

Make the Minty Tomato Sauce

  • Sauté chopped onions and garlic in a pan until softened. Add the chopped tomatoes, salt, pepper, oregano, and chili flakes. Simmer for 10 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Stir in the chopped mint leaves.

Assemble and Sizzle

  • Heat butter on a tawa (flat griddle). Arrange mint leaves on the tawa. Place the paneer and potato cutlets on top of the mint. Pour the tomato sauce over the cutlets. Arrange the chopped baby corn, capsicum, and onion around the cutlets.

Finish and Serve

  • Pour the remaining sauce over everything. Sprinkle generously with grated cheese. Add water mixed with butter to the side of the tawa for the sizzle effect. Serve hot and enjoy your Paneer and Potato Sizzler.

Recipe Notes

Expert Tips

  • For extra flavor, marinate the paneer in a mixture of yogurt, ginger, and garlic for 30 minutes before making the cutlets.
  • If you don't have a tawa, you can use a large skillet or frying pan.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables to the sizzler, such as bell peppers, mushrooms, or zucchini.
  • Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint before serving for an extra touch of freshness and aroma.
