Crust

Chocolate Filling

  • 150 gm Strawberries fresh, sliced
  • 50 gm Almonds chopped (or pistachios, or other nuts)
  • 8 inch Baking Pan 8x8 inch square pan or similar

Instructions
 

Prepare the Oreo Crust

  • Process Oreo cookies in a food processor until finely crushed.
  • Add melted butter to the crushed Oreos and process until evenly moistened.
  • Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of an 8x8 inch baking pan.
  • Freeze the crust while you prepare the filling.

Make the Chocolate Filling

  • In a small saucepan, heat heavy cream over low-medium heat for a few minutes, until just simmering. Do not boil.
  • Remove from heat and pour over the chopped milk and dark chocolate. Let it sit for 1-2 minutes.
  • Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.

Assemble and Chill

  • Pour the chocolate filling over the frozen Oreo crust.
  • Arrange sliced strawberries and chopped nuts over the chocolate layer.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
  • Cut into squares and serve chilled.
