Ingredients
Tomatoes
- 3 large Tomatoes ripe, medium-to-large sized; remove core and seeds
Filling Ingredients
- 1/2 medium Onion finely chopped
- 1/2 cup Cottage Cheese indian cottage cheese, crumbled or mashed
- 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1/2 tsp Salt to taste
- 1/4 tsp Chili Powder adjust to your spice preference, red
- 1/4 tsp Garam Masala for added warmth and flavor

- 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil or cooking oil of your choice
Instructions
Prepare the Filling
- Microwave a microwave-safe bowl containing 1 tablespoon of oil and the chopped onion on high for 3 minutes. Add the crumbled paneer, cumin seeds, salt, red chili powder, and garam masala. Microwave for another 2 minutes on high. The filling is ready.
Stuff the Tomatoes
- Gently fill the hollowed-out tomatoes with the paneer mixture.
Microwave the Stuffed Tomatoes
- Place the stuffed tomatoes on a microwave-safe plate or tawa (flat griddle). Drizzle a little oil over them. If using a microwave with a convection or charcoal setting, place the tawa on a high rack suitable for this setting.
Cook and Serve
- Microwave on high using the charcoal setting (or on a convection setting for even cooking) until the tomatoes are softened and heated through (approximately 5-7 minutes), flipping halfway through. Serve hot with chapatti, naan, or bread.
