Additional Tips
- For an extra-smooth texture, strain the lemon juice before mixing and consider churning the sorbet mixture in an ice cream maker; if you don’t have one, break up ice crystals every 30 minutes with a fork during freezing for a light, airy consistency.
- Enhance the tangy flavor by adding a small pinch of salt or a couple of drops of limoncello or vodka, which can also prevent the sorbet from freezing too hard.
- For a visually striking presentation, serve the sorbet scooped into hollowed-out lemon halves and garnish with fresh mint or edible flowers.
- If you’d like a vegan or lower-sugar option, substitute regular sugar with agave syrup or a sugar alternative, but reduce the liquid slightly to maintain the desired texture.
