Instructions

Prepare the Jelly Layer

  • Soak the agar agar powder in 1/2 cup of lukewarm water for 10-15 minutes to allow it to soften. In a saucepan, combine the sugar and remaining water. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  • Add the softened agar agar to the sugar syrup and stir continuously until completely dissolved. Remove from heat and stir in the red food coloring.
  • Pour the jelly mixture into individual serving dishes or a larger dish. Refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours, or until completely set.

Prepare the Custard Layer

  • In a saucepan, whisk together the milk, custard powder (or cornstarch), and sugar until smooth. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens to a custard consistency. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped pistachios, almonds, and cashews.
  • Allow the custard to cool completely to room temperature. Once the jelly is set, gently pour the cooled custard over the jelly layer. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the custard to set.

Garnish and Serve

  • Garnish with extra chopped dry fruits if desired. Serve chilled and enjoy!
