Ingredients
- 1 packet Agar Agar agaragar
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 Water
- 1/2 tsp Food Color
- 1/2 ltr Milk
- 1 packet Almond or pista bluebirds chinagrass pista flavour
- Pistachios some chopped
- Almonds some chopped
- Cashews chopped, some chopped cashewnuts
Instructions
Prepare the Jelly Layer
- Soak the agar agar powder in 1/2 cup of lukewarm water for 10-15 minutes to allow it to soften. In a saucepan, combine the sugar and remaining water. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is fully dissolved.
- Add the softened agar agar to the sugar syrup and stir continuously until completely dissolved. Remove from heat and stir in the red food coloring.
- Pour the jelly mixture into individual serving dishes or a larger dish. Refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours, or until completely set.
Prepare the Custard Layer
- In a saucepan, whisk together the milk, custard powder (or cornstarch), and sugar until smooth. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens to a custard consistency. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped pistachios, almonds, and cashews.
- Allow the custard to cool completely to room temperature. Once the jelly is set, gently pour the cooled custard over the jelly layer. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the custard to set.
