Ingredients
- 1 cup Appam Batter
- 1 cup Vegetables beans cut into, broccoli, carrot
- 1 sprig Curry Leaves
- 1 Onion chopped, medium sized
- 1/3 inch Ginger grated
- 2 clove Garlic grated
- 1 Chilli green, optional chopped
- 2.5 tbsp Coconut Milk thick
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1.5 tsp Salt or as per taste
- 1/4 tsp Pepper Powder white
- 1 tsp Canola Oil
Instructions
Prepare the Vegetable Filling
- Sauté onions, green chilies, ginger, and garlic in canola oil until fragrant. Add mixed vegetables and curry leaves; cook until slightly tender. Season with salt and white pepper powder. Remove from heat and set aside.
Combine Appam Batter and Coconut Milk
- In a bowl, combine the prepared appam batter, coconut milk, sugar, and salt. Mix well to ensure everything is evenly incorporated.
Steam the Appams
- Bring water to a boil in a steamer. Grease a steamer plate lightly with oil or cooking spray (optional).
Layer and Steam
- Pour half of the appam batter onto the prepared steamer plate. Spread the vegetable mixture evenly over the batter. Top with the remaining batter.
Steam Until Cooked
- Steam for 15-20 minutes, or until the appam is cooked through and firm to the touch.
Cool and Serve
