Instructions

Prepare the Kofta

  • Mash the boiled raw bananas well. Add the chickpea flour, green chili paste, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, salt, and barley flour. Mix thoroughly to form a smooth dough. Shape the mixture into small koftas and let them rest for 5 minutes.

Fry the Kofta

  • Heat oil in a pan. Gently fry the koftas until golden brown on all sides. Set aside.

Make the Gravy

  • Heat oil in a separate pan. Add ginger-garlic paste and green chili paste. Sauté for a minute. Add the hung curd and stir continuously to prevent curdling. Add water and simmer for 5 minutes.

Finish the Curry

  • Stir in the garam masala, kasuri methi, and coconut milk. Add the fried koftas to the gravy. Simmer for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

Prepare the Barley Cream & Serve

  • In a small bowl, mix the fresh cream and a tablespoon of barley flour into a smooth paste. Serve the kofta curry hot, garnished with the barley cream.

  • To make the koftas even more flavorful, marinate them in the spice mixture for at least 30 minutes before frying.
