Ingredients
For the Kofta
- 2 Banana boiled, raw
- 1 cup Gram Flour besan
- 2 tsp Chili Paste green, hari mirch
- 2 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 2 tsp Garam Masala
- 1.5 tsp Salt or to taste
- 2 tbsp Oil for frying
- 1/4 cup Barley Flour finely ground, oo mugi
For the Gravy
- 1/2 cup Cream fresh
- 1 tsp Fenugreek Leaf dried, dried fenugreek leaves
- 1/2 cup Yogurt greek yogurt, hung, strained
- 1/2 cup Coconut Milk
- 1 cup Water
- 1 tbsp Oil for the gravy
Instructions
Prepare the Kofta
- Mash the boiled raw bananas well. Add the chickpea flour, green chili paste, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, salt, and barley flour. Mix thoroughly to form a smooth dough. Shape the mixture into small koftas and let them rest for 5 minutes.
Fry the Kofta
- Heat oil in a pan. Gently fry the koftas until golden brown on all sides. Set aside.
Make the Gravy
- Heat oil in a separate pan. Add ginger-garlic paste and green chili paste. Sauté for a minute. Add the hung curd and stir continuously to prevent curdling. Add water and simmer for 5 minutes.
Finish the Curry
- Stir in the garam masala, kasuri methi, and coconut milk. Add the fried koftas to the gravy. Simmer for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
Prepare the Barley Cream & Serve
- In a small bowl, mix the fresh cream and a tablespoon of barley flour into a smooth paste. Serve the kofta curry hot, garnished with the barley cream.
