Ingredients
Lentil Crust
Toppings
- 0.5 cup Onion chopped
- 0.5 cup Bell Peppers chopped
- 6 Olives black, pitted
- 2 tbsp Pizza Sauce
- 0.5 cup Mozzarella Cheese grated
- 1 tbsp Herbs mixed
Instructions
- Wash the lentils and soak them in lukewarm water for 2 hours. This helps soften them for a smoother crust.
- Drain the soaked lentils. Grind them into a thick puree without adding any extra water. A thick consistency is key for a sturdy crust. Mix in the salt.
- Heat a nonstick pan over medium heat. Pour 2 ladles of lentil batter onto the hot pan. Spread it into a thin, circular disc about 1/4 inch thick.
- Cook the crust for several minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Repeat to make 4 pizza crusts in total.
- Place the cooked pizza crusts on a baking tray. Spread pizza sauce evenly over each crust. Arrange the chopped onions, bell peppers, and black olives on top. Sprinkle with grated mozzarella cheese.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Broil the pizzas for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Watch closely to prevent burning. Sprinkle with mixed herbs and serve immediately.
Recipe Notes
Expert Tips
- For a crispier crust, pre-bake it for a few minutes before adding the toppings.
- Get creative with your toppings! Try different cheeses, vegetables, or even meats.
- Don't overload the pizza with toppings, as this can make it soggy.
Storage Instructions
- Leftover pizza can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Reheat slices in a toaster oven or skillet for best results.
