Lentils & Legumes

  • 1 cup Mung Bean soaked in water for at least 1 hour before use, yellow lentils

Prepare the Ingredients

  • Wash and soak the moong dal for at least 1 hour.
  • Dice the tomatoes, carrots, and onion.

Making the Soup

  • Add the soaked moong dal, diced tomatoes, carrots, onion, salt, red chili powder, and ginger-garlic paste to your Philips Soup Maker.
  • Add 4 cups of water (or enough to reach the minimum fill line).
  • Close the lid securely.
  • Select the smooth soup setting on your Philips Soup Maker.

Serving

  • Once the soup is finished, carefully remove the soup maker lid.
  • Ladle the soup into bowls.
  • Garnish with fresh cream or yogurt and chopped cilantro.
