Ingredients
For the Yogurt Dip
- 1 tbsp Sugar or 1 tablespoon of whipped cream for a richer dip., powdered
- 2 tbsp Hung Yogurt greek yogurt or cream cheese can be substituted.
- 2 tbsp Cucumber chopped
- 1 tbsp Coriander chopped
- 1 tsp Chili adjust to your spice preference., chopped, green
- 1/2 tsp Salt to taste
- 1/4 tsp Pepper freshly ground, black, to taste
For the Canapés
- 4 Malabar Fish Cutlets use store-bought or homemade. i used licious brand.
- 1 packet Monaco Biscuits or any savory crackers or biscuits.
- 2 tbsp Oil vegetable or canola oil
- Mint Leaves for garnish, fresh
- Coriander for garnish
Instructions
Prepare the Yogurt Dip
- In a bowl, combine the powdered sugar (or whipped cream), hung yogurt, chopped cucumber, coriander, chili, salt, and pepper. Mix well. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Prepare the Fish Cutlets
- Divide the Malabar fish cutlets into four equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball, then flatten slightly. Set aside.
Fry the Cutlets
- Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Once hot, carefully place the fish cutlets in the pan and fry until light golden brown on both sides. Remove from pan and set aside.
Assemble the Canapés
- Arrange the Monaco biscuits on a serving platter. Top each biscuit with a fried fish cutlet and a spoonful of the chilled yogurt dip. Garnish with fresh mint and coriander leaves. Serve immediately and enjoy!
