Ingredients
Dry Ingredients
- 1 cup All-Purpose Flour also known as maida
- 1/2 cup Sugar powdered
- 1/2 cup Nuts assorted nuts, chopped, pecans; grated nuts also work well., such as almonds, walnuts
- 1/4 cup Cocoa Powder for richer chocolate flavor, unsweetened
Wet Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Butter softened, unsalted
- 1/4 cup Cashew Paste
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract or chocolate extract
- 1-2 tbsp Milk add as needed for desired dough consistency; creamy milk recommended
Instructions
Prepare the Dough
- Melt the butter in a frying pan over low heat. Add the all-purpose flour and stir until well combined.
- Remove from heat. Stir in the powdered sugar, chopped nuts, cashew paste, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract. Gradually add milk, mixing until a soft dough forms.
Shape and Coat the Bars
- Press the dough firmly into a lined baking pan to create a flat, even layer. Use a knife to cut the dough into bar shapes.
- Gently press extra chopped nuts onto the top of the bars to coat them.
Chill and Serve
