Recipe Time & More

Ingredients
- 5.5 tbsp Custard Powder
- 1 ltr Milk
- 4 tbsp Sugar
- 4 tbsp Milk condensed
- 1 Apple
- 4 slice Pineapple
- 1/2 cup Orange Rind
- 1/2 cup Tutti Frutti
- 1/2 cup Pistachios
- 1/2 cup Raisin
- 1/2 cup Almonds crushed
Instructions
- Boil milk and let it simmer on low flame. Mix the custard powder in about half a cup of this boiled milk and stir it nicely to make a paste free of lumps.
- Add this custard powder paste to the milk along with the condensed milk and keep stirring it on medium flame until it thickens. Let it cool a bit before filling in the dish. Refrigerate it for an hour.
- Decorate it as per your own choice and preference using any number of fruits you desire.
- I used pistachios, raisins and crushed almonds as the ocean base. I used apple and pineapple slices plus tutti frutti for the fruity fishes.
- And used orange rind for the star fishes. Serve this extravagant dessert to your loved ones on their birthday or a get together party at home or even at a family reunion.
- Serve this extra chilled for that awesome experience of a gorgeous eye catching pudding.
Recipe Notes
Additional Tips
- For an enchanting “aquarium” effect, use small, clear gel cubes made from agar-agar or flavored jelly to mimic underwater stones or bubbles—layer them throughout the custard for added texture and visual appeal.
- If preparing ahead, keep the chopped fruits (especially apple and pineapple) separate and add them just before serving to maintain their crunch and prevent the custard from becoming watery.
- Enhance the citrus aroma by finely grating the orange rind directly over the finished pudding before serving—this releases essential oils and intensifies the fragrance without overwhelming the creamy base.
- For a vegan twist, substitute dairy milk with thick coconut or almond milk, and use a plant-based custard powder; condensed coconut milk can replace regular condensed milk for a similarly rich sweetness.
