Ingredients
Vada Batter
- 1 cup Medu Vada Batter ready-made
Aromatics and Spices
- 1 Chili finely chopped, green
- 1/2 inch Ginger finely chopped
- 1/2 Onion finely chopped
- 1 sprig Curry Leaves chopped
- 7-8 Peppercorns black
- 1-2 tsp Salt to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the Medu Vada batter, green chili, ginger, onion, curry leaves, black peppercorns, and salt.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Ensure the oil is hot enough by dropping a small amount of batter; it should sizzle gently.
- Lightly wet your palms with water. This prevents the batter from sticking. Take a spoonful of the batter and shape it into a small disc.
- Make a small hole in the center of each vada. This helps them cook evenly.
- Carefully slide the vadas into the hot oil. Do not overcrowd the pan.
- Fry the vadas, flipping them once, until they turn a deep golden brown and are cooked through. This usually takes about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove the cooked vadas from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
- Serve the crispy Medu Vadas hot with coconut chutney.

Tempting
Yes..we love them. But at times feel lazy to soak, grind etc. With fresh readymade batter, things have become so easy!!
Simple and delectable. Even I love it eating in restaurant because making batter at home is bit tedious but hopefully Farmz2Familiez would solve that problem too.
