Recipe Notes

Expert Tips for the Best Idli Manchurian:

  • For extra crispy idlis, let them sit out at room temperature for a couple of hours before frying. This helps them firm up.
  • Adjust the amount of red chili powder according to your spice preference.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables to the sauce, such as carrots, peas, or mushrooms, for added flavor and nutrition.
  • If you don't have oregano, you can substitute it with other herbs like Italian seasoning or a pinch of garam masala.
