Ingredients
For the Bread Rings:
For the Aloo Chaat Filling:
- 3 Potato medium-sized, boiled and mashed
- 1 cup Peas boiled, white
- 0.25 cup Carrot finely shredded
- 0.25 cup Tomatoes finely shredded
- 0.25 cup Onion finely shredded
- 1 Chili finely chopped, green
- 0.5 tsp Cumin Seeds also known as jeera
- 0.5 tsp Coriander also known as dhania, ground
- 0.33 tsp Chili Powder adjust to your spice preference
- 2 tbsp Coriander also known as dhania, finely chopped
For the Topping:
- 2 tbsp Yogurt plain yogurt or curd
- 0.25 cup Cucumber finely shredded
- 0.5 cup Chickpea Noodle fried chickpea flour noodles
- 2 tsp Chutney green
- 2 tsp Tamarind Chutney
- 1.5 Pomegranate arils/seeds
- 1 tsp Chaat Masala
Instructions
Prepare the Bread Rings
- Butter one side of each bread slice. Using a small cookie cutter or a knife, cut out the center of 4 slices of bread, creating rings. Top each ring with an un-cut bread slice, pressing gently to form a bowl shape.
Toast the Bread Rings
- In a dry skillet or griddle pan, toast the bread rings over medium heat until golden brown on both sides. Set aside.
Make the Aloo Chaat Filling
- In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, boiled peas, shredded carrots, shredded tomatoes, shredded onion, chopped green chili, cumin seeds, coriander powder, chili powder, and chopped coriander leaves. Gently mix until well combined. Adjust seasoning to your taste.

- Fill each toasted bread ring with the aloo chaat filling.
