Ingredients
- 200 gm Cottage Cheese paneer, or paneer paneer
- 2 Onion medium size
- 2 Tomatoes large sized, size
- 1 tsp Coriander dhania
- Kashmiri Chili Powder red, taste
- 15 Peppercorns black
- 1 stick Cinnamon long
- 1/2 tsp Ginger roughly chopped
- 5 clove Garlic
- 1 tsp Dried Fenugreek Leaf
- 1 cup Bell Peppers different coloured chopped
- 4 tbsp Oil
- 1.5 tsp Salt or as per taste
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder haldi, th
Instructions
Prepare the Paneer
- Soak paneer cubes in 2 cups of lukewarm water for at least 15 minutes to soften. Cut into 1-inch cubes.
Make the Spice Paste
- In a blender, combine one chopped onion, ginger, garlic, cinnamon stick, black peppercorns, sesame seeds, turmeric powder, Kashmiri red chili powder, and two chopped tomatoes. Blend until a smooth paste forms.
Cook the Kadhai Paneer
- Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a Kadhai (wok) or large pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
- Add the prepared spice paste and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently, until fragrant.
- Stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons of oil, bell pepper, coriander powder, Kasuri Methi, and salt. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, until the bell peppers are tender-crisp.
- Add the paneer cubes and gently stir to combine. Cook for 2-3 more minutes, allowing the paneer to heat through and the flavors to meld. Do not overcook.
Serve
- Serve hot with roti, naan, or rice.
