  • 1 medium Onion finely chopped
  • 1 cup Vegetables and bell peppers – chopped, green beans, mixed, peas, such as carrots

Rice & Fat

  • 1 cup Basmati Rice rinsed and cooked according to package directions
  • 2 tbsp Ghee or vegetable oil

Instructions
 

Prepare the Aromatics

  • Heat clarified butter in a pan over medium heat. Add green cardamom, black cardamom, cloves, and peppercorns. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Sauté the Vegetables

  • Add the finely chopped onion and sauté for 1-2 minutes until softened. Add the mixed vegetables and sauté for 4-5 minutes until slightly tender-crisp.

Combine and Serve

  • Stir in the cooked basmati rice and salt. Mix well to combine all the ingredients. Cook for another minute to heat through. Serve hot.
