Instructions

Prepare the Chicken

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut boneless, skinless chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces. In a bowl, combine chicken with ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, salt, cayenne pepper, Kashmiri chili powder, tandoori masala, mustard oil, and cornstarch. Mix well and let marinate for 10 minutes.

Bake the Chicken

  • Spread the marinated chicken in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes, or until cooked through and slightly browned.

Make the Honey Garlic Sauce

  • In a pan, combine soy sauce, honey, additional honey (or BBQ sauce), ketchup, sriracha, minced garlic, and minced ginger. Simmer over medium heat until slightly thickened.

Combine and Serve

  • Add the baked chicken to the honey garlic sauce. Toss to coat evenly. Cook for a few minutes until the sauce is well incorporated and has thickened slightly.

Garnish and Enjoy

  • Transfer the chicken to a serving bowl. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve hot.

Recipe Notes

Expert Tips

  • For extra crispy chicken, broil the chicken for the last 2-3 minutes of baking.
  • Adjust the amount of cayenne and sriracha to control the spice level to your preference.
  • If you don't have ginger-garlic paste, you can easily make your own by grating fresh ginger and garlic and mixing them together.
  • Serve this dish with rice or crusty bread for a complete meal.
