Ingredients
Papad & Toppings
- 5 Papadums urad dal pepper papadums. brands like lijjat or millagu appallam recommended.
- 1/2 cup Peanuts roasted
- 2 tbsp Bhujia Sev optional; adds extra crunch. alternatively, use oma podi or a similar crunchy mixture.
Seasoning & Spices
- 2 tsp Lemon Juice
- 1/2 tsp Chili Powder or 1/2 tsp chaat masala powder, red
- 2 tbsp Coriander chopped
- 1.5 tsp Salt or to taste
Instructions
Prepare the Papadums
- Roast the papadums until crisp using a tawa (griddle), directly on a stove flame, or in a microwave. Set aside to cool slightly.
Prepare the Vegetable Mixture
- In a large bowl, combine the chopped onion, grated carrot, and finely chopped cucumber.
Combine and Serve
- Roughly crush the cooled papadums into smaller pieces. Add them to the bowl with the vegetables along with the roasted peanuts, bhujia (if using), coriander leaves, red chili powder (or chaat masala), salt, and lemon juice.
- Mix everything well to combine. Serve immediately in small bowls or cups for a delightful snack.
