Recipe Notes

  • Do not throw the ingredients and if you still want to drink something which tastes like tea, Add skimmed milk and a spoonful of sugar and enjoy the cup of natural, healthy, hot beverage like tea.

Additional Tips

  • For a stronger, more aromatic flavor, lightly toast the spices (fennel seeds, carom seeds, black peppercorns, clove, and cardamom) in a dry pan for 1-2 minutes before boiling them in water.
  • If you prefer a hint of natural sweetness, add a small piece of dried liquorice or a few slices of fresh ginger during boiling; both boost digestive benefits and complement the spice blend.
  • Prepare a larger batch and store it in a thermos to sip warm detox water throughout the day; simply strain and reheat as needed.
  • For a cooling summer version, let the detox water cool completely, then add a few mint leaves and chill before serving over ice for a refreshing twist.

Additional Tips

  • For enhanced flavor and potency, lightly toast the spices (fennel seeds, carom seeds, black peppercorns, cloves, and cardamom) in a dry pan until fragrant before steeping them in hot water.
  • If you prefer a touch of natural sweetness, add a small piece of dried liquorice or a few slices of fresh ginger while boiling the water; both complement the spicy notes and offer additional digestive benefits.
  • Prepare a larger batch and store it in a glass jar in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours; enjoy it chilled or gently reheated, making it convenient for busy mornings.
  • For an extra cleansing effect, squeeze in some fresh lemon juice just before drinking, which can boost vitamin C content and further support detoxification.

Additional Tips

  • For an extra flavor dimension and enhanced digestive benefits, add a small piece of fresh ginger root or a few basil leaves during the steeping process, then strain before serving.
  • If you prefer a slightly sweet taste without refined sugar, stir in a teaspoon of raw honey or jaggery after the water has cooled slightly—this preserves their beneficial enzymes and complements the natural spice notes.
  • Prepare a larger batch of the detox water by doubling the ingredients, then store it in a thermos or insulated bottle to sip throughout the day; it can be enjoyed warm or at room temperature for ongoing hydration and wellness support.
  • For those sensitive to caffeine but craving a morning ritual, this spiced water can serve as a flavorful alternative to coffee or tea—try pairing it with a light, fiber-rich breakfast for best results on digestion and energy.
